Nurse Assistant Training Program

Premier Health Academy's Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) includes a comprehensive review of the seventeen mandated modules as set forth by California Department of Public Health. Upon completion of the program, students graduate highly-skilled and competent to carry out integrity in the work they do for the community.

Curricula content includes core concepts to ensure our students excel when sitting for the NNAAP exam. PHA provides guidance and expertise instruction from seasoned nurses with over 15+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. Our instructors incorporate teaching methods that include realistic experiences that CNA's may encounter in the current job force.

State Approved Program

DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO ENROLL

  • Valid Government Photo ID ( license, id, permanent resident card, passport, etc.)

  • Age 16 and Above (under 18 must have guardian/parent permission)

  • Social Security Card or ITIN from IRS

STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN THE FOLLOWING TO BE ELIGIBLE

  • Live Scan Background  

  • Complete a physical exam which indicates applicants are physically able to perform the tasks required of their program. Must have a negative PPD or chest x-ray.

  • CPR -BLS Certification

  • 34 Day (11 week)​ program

THEORY:

4:30pm - 8:30pm

 

SKILLS LAB: Saturday & Sunday

In Person Upland, CA

7:00am - 3:30pm

 

CLINICAL: Saturday & Sunday

In Person at assigned clinical location

Technology Requirements

  • Outlook e-mail (free)​

  • Chrome browser

  • Desktop, laptop, or mobile device ( IOS or Android)

  • Minimum of a single core processor 1GHz 

  • Web camera

  • Access to either Microsoft Word, Pages or Google docs.

  • Ability to navigate websites and other user friendly applications/softwares

  • Ability to Save, download and upload

To successfully pass the Nurse Assistant Training Program, students must accomplish the following:

  • 100% attendance in all class, skills and clinical sessions

  • Maintain a minimum 75% overall grade in coursework, exams and assignments

  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential clinical skills throughout skills and clinical evaluations

  • Adhere to program policies, procedures and safety protocols throughout the program 

  • Successfully pass comprehensive exam
